Depending on where your going, the airport shuttles provide multiple modes of transportation to and from the airport in style, depending on your vehicle preferences. Once you've arrive at the airport in Cancun, you will be greeted by multiple ground carriers offering rides to your hotel, tours and discount tickets to various restaurants. Its important once you come through Cancun Customs, that you find your designated carrier, who will transfer you to your hotel and briefly acquaint you with Mexican hospitality. If you do not have transportation to your hotel, look for BEST DAY TOURS to arrange your transfer to and from your hotel for your departure from Cancun. TRANSPORTATION CABS/TAXI: The average Cab fair from hotel to party zone or hotel to hotel is extremely exaggerated in the Cancun hotel zone. Prices will start at $8-$10 to travel the equivalent of 3 city blocks. Don't Do It !! BUSSES: Busses offer an inexpensive shuttle option from hotel to Party Zone and Party Zone to Hotels in and out of the party zone. In these trying times, its more prudent to take the Bus ( if your not staying at Hyatt,Riu, Krystal, Dream, or Fiesta Americana) for only 70 cents. Buses can be caught everywhere. Buses can be taken to the Booze Cruise from the party Zone (5 minute ride) and to Wet-N-Wild (20 minute Ride) SHOPPING MALLS: The Cancun Hotel Zone provides 3 major shopping malls to enhance your Cancun Jumpoff experience. Kukulcan Plaza, Plaza Caracol, and La Isla Shopping Mall all offer a sophisticated shopping experience. Kukulcan Plaza and La Isla shopping mall is roughly a 5-7 minute bus ride from the Party Zone Hotels, and offer a unique shopping environment. Plaza Caracol is the only shopping mall within the immediate Party Zone and offers a wide selection of shopping options. Plaza Caracol is located directly across the street from the RIU Cancun and RIU Palace. For the most part, everything you'll need, can be purchased in the Cancun Party Zone. If you would like to purchase alcohol, we advise you purchasing your liquor at the airport duty free store and bring it to your hotel instead of venturing to Walmart in down town Cancun. The Cancun Party Zone provides pharmacies and other convenience stores to cater to your every whim and emerging desires. Please remember, we are visitors in Mexico not resident aliens. Its important that we respect the indigenous people of Cancun as they are very grateful for us visiting their country every year. CASH vs PESO Its important when you arrive to Cancun, that you check the monetary exchange rate in Mexico for US Dollars to Mexican Pesos. $1 USD should be exchanged for 10-12 Mexican Pesos depending on venue. It is important that you know this, in the event you find yourself in a situation and all you have is American dollars.
